Kara Keith makes punk industrial trance music and has been performing at clubs and music festivals under the name UN as well as her own, for nearly a decade. All of Kara’s tracks are self-recorded live in her garage in Montreal Canada, exemplifying the aesthetic of hard-ware over soft-ware, of human performance over computers. This makes the music part house part goth part garage-rock all packaged up in what Kara calls horror house music.

Working solo or along side drummer and sound artist Jen Reimer as UN, Kara has played a number of music festivals and shows in Canada, the US and Europe and has been featured in tv commercials, film and the CBS television show; Unforgettable. soundcloud

UN played with such bands as; Big Freedia, The Soft Moon, Clues, Mstrkrft and Grimes. They leave behind a cassette tape (UnBegun) and an album (UnTitled) and other singles which can be found here bandcamp . These songs were recorded as live performances at their studio in The Torn Curtain in Montreal circa 2012-2015.

Recently Kara has been performing stand-up with Montreal’s Squad Laughs and other stand up stages in Montreal as well as LA. During the pandemic she stays sane by making instructional videos to help us through these ‘strange and difficult’ times. See:  The Quarantine Info Sho
